Dal Damoc
Also known as ‘The Wayfinder’ and the Prophet of the Universal Inhumans. Not much has been revealed of his past history. He is an older Inhuman with levitation-based abilities and possibly some sort of preternatural cosmic awareness. Through means undisclosed, Damoc learned that millennia ago The Kree had experimented with Terrigenesis on numerous other planets and races other than Earth. These various endeavors led to the creation of dozens of different Inhumans throughout the cosmos. Supremor, the then leader of the Kree Empire, had discovered an ancient prophecy foretelling that the creation of these various Inhuman races would bring about an anomaly, a singular being who would destroy the Kree Empire and replace it with a New Hala under Inhuman leadership.
In an effort to prevent this prophecy from coming to fruition, Supremor ordered that the Kree armada obliterate every planet in which Terrigenic experimentation had taken place. Only five of these worlds managed to avoid this culling. These worlds included Centauri IV, populated by the Centaurians; Lotiara, home of the female Badoon; Kymellia II, the adopted world of the Kymellians; Wraithworld of the Dark Nebula, home of the Dire Wraiths; and Earth.
Centuries past and the Inhumans of these different worlds lived on in secret with no knowledge of their other worldly brethren. Dal Damoc foretold that deep within the genetic makeup of all Inhumans is a longing to come together, a need to fulfill a prophecy in which four queens would come together to wed a king who had emerged from blackness.
The Inhumans of the Centaurians, The Badoom, the Dire Wraiths, and the Kymellians were each ruled by queens. These queens came together under Dal Damoc’s guidance and summoned forth Black Bolt from The Fault. It had been believed that Black Bolt had perished in his battle with Vulcan, that he died ion the starless night of The Fault. Yet these queens brought him back, fulfilling the prophecy of a Midnight King emerging from blackness,
Black Bolt was ceremoniously wed to these four queens and together they formed the Court of The Universal Inhumans.
Rather than destroy the Kree Empire, Black Bolt decided to strike a truce in which the Kree would leave the worlds of these Universal Inhuman in peace. Angered over the indignity of being forced into a peace accord with creatures of their own making, a group of Kree scientists resurrected Supremor and they launched an attack on earth. Aided by the Fantastic Four and the heroes of Earth, The Universal Inhumans traveled to Earth and repelled The Kree Invasion.
Thoroughly defeated, The Kree were forced to agree to Black Bolt’s demands and conceded to leave each of the worlds of The Universal Inhumans in peace so to achieve their own respective destinies.
Following these events, Black Bolt disbanded the Court of The Universal Inhumans. His marriages to the four queens were annulled and they each returned to their own worlds to rule over their kingdoms. Dal Damoc has not been seen or heard from since and his current whereabouts remain unknown.
Dania
A winged Inhuman from the sky island of Aerie (a faction of Attilan that seceded centuries ago). Dania was the daughter of the original Red Raven. Believing that her father had been killed by Prince Namor, Dania assumed her father’s mantel as the new Red Raven and flew down to Earth to avenge his death. It was ultimately revealed that Dania’s father was still alive and she and Namor joined forces to battle the super villain, Diablo.
Later, Dania joined an iteration of the super team, The Defenders. She was also involved in the Avengers Initiative Program following the events of the Civil War event.
Some time thereafter, Dania was abducted by Arcade and forced to fight other young heroes in Arcade’s murderous Arena. Dania was among the first of these young heroes to perish. She attempted to flee, flying up into the sky. She slammed into the arena’s invisible ceiling and, knocked unconscious, she fell to her death.
The remaining young heroes who survived the Arena ultimately extracted revenger on Arcade for the murder of Dania and his other victims. It remains unknown whether or not Dania’s father, the original Red Raven has been made aware of his daughter’s tragic fate.
Dara Ko Eke
Also known as ‘The All Knowing,’ Dara Ko Eke is a Badoon and member of the Universal Inhumans (one of a number of different alien species whom the Kree had subjected to the same Terrigenic experiments as Earth’s Inhumans). As part of a Celestial Prophecy, the regents of these diverse cosmic Inhumans came together and chose Black Bolt of Attilan as their king and leader.
As a member of The Light Brigade (a group of warriors comprised of Universal Inhumans) Dara Ko Eke and her comrades among The Light Brigade were sentenced to be sacrificed, an offering to the cosmic gods meant to anoint the creation of the Court of The Universal Inhumans. The Light Brigade stepped through the portal of Eldrac. Rather than sending them to oblivion, however, Eldrac chose to spare The Light Brigade and instead transported them to the Negative Zone.
Whiled in the Negative Zone, Dara and the Light Brigade were captured by Arthrosians. Annihilus, the then lord of The Negative Zone, forced Dara and her fellow comrades among The Light Brigade to fight in the gladiatorial arena against the Arthrosian champions. Dara and her colleagues were killed numerous times in the arena and each time, Annihilus used his Cosmic Control Rod to resurrect them so that they might fight, and die, again.
When The Human Torch of The Fantastic Four was captured, he teamed up with the Light Brigade and together they engineered an escape. They managed a surprise attack on Annihilus and The Human Torch was able to wrestle free the Cosmic Control Rod, which he then used to create a portal to The Baxter Building on Earth.
Dara Ko Eke possesses the ability for prognostication and heightened awareness. Following the disbanding of the Court of the Universal Inhumans, Dara returned with her queen to the Badoon home world.
Dedyr
A winged Inhuman with white plumage and avian features. Dedyr and his twin brother, Ikyr, acted as heralds, flying above Attilan and sounding bellowing horns to either warn of danger or announce celebratory tidings.
The two sounded their horns on the afternoon of Crystal’s wedding to Quicksilver, announcing that the nuptial ceremonies were about to begin. The names Ikyr and Dedyr are a play on the characters of Icarus and Daedalus from ancient Greek mythology.
Delphine
A winged Inhuman from the floating city of Aerie. Delphine and her husband, Buth, were allies of Ka-Zar and Shana of The Savage Land and assisted the two on a number of adventures. As a resident of the Savage Land, it remains unclear whether or not Delphine and her husband survived the time when the Savage Land was destroyed by Terminus. It is possible that the two returned to Aerie.
Dendrok
An Inhuman with bright pink skin covered in horn-like protrusions. He possesses enhanced strength, speed, and durability. He served under Gorgon’s command as a member of the Royal Guard Elite during the War of The Kings event.
Following the war, Dendrok continued to serve in the Elite while stationed on the Kree world of Kon-Tar. There he fought alongside Gorgon in facing numerous threats including Devros and a giant android version of Omega the Ultimate.
Dendrok was most recently seen in the pages of Ms. Marvel, following the orders of the NuHuman, Lineage. Dendrok and another inhuman were ordered to stand guard over a captured Kamala Khan. Kamila was able to break free from her cel, however, and made quick work of defeating Dendrok and the other guard.
Densitor
An Inhuman who has thus far only appeared in the Ultimate Marvel Universe. Densitor is a hulking brute with pale green skin and sparse, tendril-like hair. He possesses enhanced strength and the ability to manipulate his density, making his mass heavier at will. Densitor is one of Maximus’ flunkies who chased Crystal in her efforts to escape Attilan to the human world.
Desidera
An Inhuman who has transparent skin and telepathic powers that enables her to scan the collective consciousness of sentient life and locate specific individuals. With the nature of her powers, Desidera was promoted to the role as The Finder, a mantel similar of that formerly occupied by The Seeker.
During the Son of M/Silent War Event(s), Desidera was able aid Luna in locating her father, Quicksilver, who had stolen a catch of Terrigen Crystals. Later after the Infinity Event and the relocation of New Attilan on the banks of the Hudson River, Desidera attempted to use her powers to locate many of the Inhuman children who had been evacuated to places unknown via the Door of Elldrac. This was her most recent appearance and her current status and whereabouts remain unknown, although it is assumed that she continues to reside on New Attilan.
Devlor
An Inhuman who was transformed by Terrigenesis into a large, brown-furred, yeti-like beast with greatly enhanced strength and agility. Unlike many Inhumans, Devlor also had the capacity to transform back into his human-like form. Being able to transform in the fashion, essentially shape-shift was an extremely rare gift bestowed by Terrigenesis.
Black Bolt brought Devlor to Earth to meet with T’challah, The Black Panther. T’challah was training a young man from Wakanda, named Vibraxias, who had gained vibration-based super powers via a science experiment gone wrong. Black Bolt left Devlor in T’challah’s care in the hopes that T’challah’s training might lead both Devlor and Vibarxas to better master their specialized abilities.
Sometime thereafter, The Fantastic Four chose to disband following the apparent death of Reed Richards. An older, time-displaced version of Franklin Richards (now going be the name Psi-Lord) was aware of essential the FF were to maintaining the safety of the world and he chose to found a new version of the Fantastic Four, this time called ‘The Fantastic Force.’ Devlor, Vibraxas, and a hero named Hunter joined Psi-Lord in creating this team.
Devlort had many adventures alongside the Fantastic Force, taking on adversaries ranging from the Grey Gargoyle to Arom, The Rogue Watcher. At one point, the Inhuman known as The Seeker traveled to Earth to attempt to apprehend Devlor. The Seeker maintained an odd theory regarding Devlor; that he was ‘the one’ and there was something special about him. Delver ultimately escaped The Seeker and this plot-line, what it was that made Devlor so special was left undressed when the Fantastic Force Series discontinued.
Delver returned to Attilan following the disbanding of The Fantastic Force. There he joined the Royal Guardand continues to serve in this capacity to this day. Most recently, Devlor appeared alongside his queen, Medusa, when seeking out the NuHuman and Avenger known as Synapse.
Dewoz
An Inhuman who was transformed via Terrigenesis into a physical form that resembled that of an Alpha Primitive. Dewoz’s apparent transformation into an Alpha stirred a great deal of controversy among the Genetic Council. Dewoz’s family had been quite proud of their genetic heritage and this turn of events was a devastating blow to them and their standing in the social community. Furthermore, Chancellor Carthis utilized the occurrence as an opportunity to earn support for his interest in returning to the old customs of a greater adherence to the philosophy of eugenics and the practice of arranged marriages.
Carthis showed great contempt for Dewoz and, though he claimed that he would look after the youth’s best interests, he merely threw Dewoz in with the other Alpha Primitives and left him to fend for himself. It was all very traumatic for the young Inhuman.
Searching through the seemingly endless caverns below the city, Dewoz came across a mirror. Gazing into this mirror seemed to trigger Dewoz’s latent Inhuman powers, an ability to gain entry into an intra-dimensional mirror-realm accessible by any reflective surface.
Through this mirror, Dewoz was able to communicate with Maximus, who was incarcerated in a cell elsewhere on Attilan. Maximus intimated that Dewoz’s peculiar transformation was actually the result of his own tinkering… that the whole turn of events was a part of the mad prince’s schemes. Maximus exerted his mind controlling powers over Dewoz, forcing the young Inhumans to help him escape.
Gradually, Dewoz’s physical form began to change. His Alpha Primitive features diminished and he transformed into a statuesque being with glowing purple skin. After Maximus’ plot was finally unearthed, Dewoz was exonerated for his actions while under the villain’s influence.
Later, Dewoz had a romantic relationship with his former childhood friend, Tonaja. Their romance, however, was cut short when Tonoja was tapped to take part in an emissary/student exchange program with The united States down on Earth.
Dewoz was promoted to the Royal Guard during the Silent War event. He proved a key element in the recovery of the stolen Terrigen Crystals from within the fortified headquarters of the Office of National Emergency. Dewoz’s current whereabouts following the fall of Attilan during the Infinity Event remains unknown.
Dine
A young Inhuman who was just a child at the time that Ronan The Accuser led a Kree force that laid siege to and conquered Attilan. Dine was just getting ready for bed and was having a story read to her by her mother when the alarm was sounded. Dine was shown huddled with the captured Inhuman children, still clutching her or his book of children’s tales, frightened but otherwise uninjured. Dine had secretly wished to never go through Terrigenesis, but this hope was dashed when the Kree soldiers forced the group of children into the Terrigenesis chamber and exposed them to the transformative mists.
Later, Dine was shown safely reunited with her mother. It appeared that Terrigenesis had had only a minor impact on her physical form, leaving her with distinctive markings about her face; any extraordinary powers she received via the transformation have been thus far unrevealed. Dine stood with the group of Inhumans who did not wish Attilan to return to Earth. Her current whereabouts remains unknown.
Dinu
A member of the younger generation of Inhumans from old Alttilan. Dinu had been a very attractive young man with many admirers among his peers. Terrigenesis transformed him in such a way, however, that the mere sight of his face could induce lethal damage. It did not seem that his face was actually disfigured, but rather its visage in and of itself could exert this destructive powers. Perhaps with greater training Dinu might be able to better control this power; for the time being, however, he was given a leather-like mask to hide his face so not to accidentally injury his colleagues in non-combat situations.
Dinu was assigned to the Royal Guard and he served with distinction in fending off a military invasion of Attilan. He was gravely injured during the battle, but made a full recovery thanks to Kalinkya’s healing abilities. Dinu’s current whereabouts following the fall of Attilan during the Infinity Event remains unknown.
Dominor
An Inhuman who was formerly tasked with overseeing The Alpha Primitives (the cloned slave-caste who dwelled in the subterranean network below Old Attilan). Dominor was not a kind sort and he treated the Alpha Primitives quite poorly. Those who did not obey his commands were sent to a ‘discipline area’ (which one can only imagine entailed some sort of terrible punishment).
When Ultron infiltrated Attilan and instigated a revolt among the Alpha Primitives toward their Inhuman masters, a group of Alpha Primitives attacked Dominor. They might have slain him had he not been saved by the intervention of Karnak and Triton.
Dominor’s position as overseer of the Alpha Primitives was dissolved once Black Bolt formerly freed the Alpha Primitives from their enslavement. Dominor’s current whereabouts remains unknown.
Dorhun
Dorhun is an Inhuman with aquatic abilities and an anthropomorphic, fish-like appearance. Dorhun was originally a member of the Royal Guard and was promoted to The Elite Guard during the War of Kings event. Her aquatic abilities translated well to the zero gravity of outer space and she served with great distinction during battles against the Shi’ar forces.
Following the War of The Kings Event, Dorhun was recruited into The Nova Corps and served with the corps as its Inhuman representative. There is some indication that Dorhun may have been romantically involved with her fellow aquatic Inhuman, Triton.
Dorhun’s current status and whereabout have remained unrevealed. It is possible that she continues to serve with the Nova Corps.
Doris
An elderly widow who turned to attorney, Matt Murdock, for help after the bank foreclosed on her home. A NuHuman, Doris was transformed by the Terrigen Cloud and suddenly found herself turned into an octopus-like creature with masses of tentacles in place of arms. She attacked the Avengers A.I. before being persuaded to stop by Daredevil and a surprisingly sympathetic Doombot. Doris was sought out by Queen Medusa, who offered her a home in New Attilan.
Dozer
Carmen Nobili, the elder son of Gordon ‘Gordo’ Nobili, the smalltime crime boss who went on to become the NuHuman known as Lineage. Like his father and brother, Carmen possessed the Inhuman gene and he was transformed when exposed to the Terrigen Cloud. Terri genesis caused him to grow into an enormous hulk with greatly enhanced physical strength. Carmen chose the title ‘Dozer’ as his new super villain codename
With their newfound powers, Gordo and his sons sought out their rivals among the Paguros crime family. A massive firefight ensued when the Punisher and The Thunderbolts arrived. Carmen and his brother Joey were both killed in the crossfire.
Drive
A younger Inhuman who possesses super-human speed. Drive was drafted into the Royal Guard upon the establishment of New Attilan on the Hudson Bay. One of his first missions was taking part in a raid of an AIM facility where the renegade scientists were hoarding a collection un-hatched Terrigen cocoons.
